Why I Build

A Journey Beyond Circuits and Code

By Sushant Jha

Some people write poetry. Some paint. I build.

From the first time I held a soldering iron to the moment I saw Wingman take flight, I've been obsessed with one thing: creating what people call impossible. Engineering, to me, isn't just about numbers, systems, or degrees—it's about defying limitations.

👣 From Small Steps to Giant Leaps

I started my journey like most engineers do—with curiosity and chaos. Burning out a few Arduinos, getting yelled at for blowing a fuse at 2 AM, and debugging code that made me question my life choices. But every crash taught me something. Every failure was a prototype.

"In college, I refused to stay in a box. ECE gave me the tools, but it was vision that gave me purpose."

🛠️ WINGMAN – My Statement to the World

AI + Robotics

My proudest creation so far? WINGMAN—a 3.5-foot, 15kg quadruped drone that can walk, run, fly, and think. Designed to replace fire departments, navigate crisis zones, and perceive humans using NLP and computer vision.

"If it hasn't been done before, that's usually a good reason to do it."

🦁 Beyond the Code: The Dream of Light

My fantasy universe, The Dream of Light, isn't just escapism—it's a reflection of my own war with limits. Characters like Damon Asborn are born from the same fire that powers my projects.
